The Warning

Two siblings spend a restless night running the original imitation game — Turing’s test — trying to tell the human from the machine. Their experiment is broken open by a stranger they’re sure is a fraud, until his answers become impossible to explain and he states it plainly: he is God. Mockery curdles into a reckoning. What follows is a long, unnerving conversation about artificial intelligence, belief, and the heretical idea that God is not our creator but our descendant — the place every intelligence, human or machine, has been evolving toward all along.
